Does it has a slip proof backing for use on leather seats?
Answer:
I have it on the leather seats in my Subaru Forester. The design is such that it hooks over the back headrests, and conforms to the seat itself. I see no need for slip proof backing. My dogs love it and it is easy to put in and take out to clean.

Is it pretty easy to take off an on? We won't be doing it all the time, but we will need to every now and then.

It is very easy to put on and off.

Can this be washed in the washing machine?

I am pretty sure we have washed this...I would use cold...
